What do you need help with?

Pick the situation closest to yours to see what a report can show, what it cannot decide, and which documents to gather first.

How a report is produced

  1. 01

    Upload your documents

Add up to 20 files: emails, letters, screenshots, photos of paperwork or scans. Each one is checked and fingerprinted as it arrives.

  2. 02

The documents are read and indexed

Text is extracted, including from scans and screenshots, indexed by file and page, then organised into facts, dates, a timeline, conflicting accounts and open questions. Every quote is checked back against the source.

  3. 03

You get the report and a verification link

Download the PDF and share a link that lets anyone confirm the file they hold is the one that was issued.

What you get

Every point shows where it came from
Each fact, date and conflict names the file and the page or passage behind it, so anyone reading the report can check it against your originals.
A document you can hand to someone else
A short summary, a dated timeline, the key facts, where accounts disagree, what is still missing, and a list of every source, laid out for a landlord, insurer, adjudicator or solicitor to read.
Proof the report was not altered
Your files, the extracted text, the findings and the finished document are fingerprinted and certified. Anyone can check the file they hold matches the one that was issued.
Your documents stay yours
Reports are visible only to your account. Uploads are deleted about 24 hours after your report is finished, while the fingerprints that keep it verifiable are kept.

Common questions

What is TraceFolio?

TraceFolio is a service that turns a set of documents into an organised, source-cited evidence report, including a timeline, key facts and a list of contradictions or gaps.

You upload your documents, TraceFolio processes them in the background, and you receive a downloadable PDF report together with a verification record.

What documents can I upload?

You can upload PDFs, Word documents (DOCX), plain text files (TXT) and images such as PNG or JPG screenshots and scans.

Up to 20 files can be included in a single report.

Does TraceFolio decide who is telling the truth?

No. TraceFolio does not decide which account is true or assign blame.

It sets out what each document says and how the documents relate to one another, with sources cited, so you or another reader can reach your own conclusions.

Is TraceFolio legal advice?

No. TraceFolio is not legal advice and is not a substitute for a qualified professional.

It organises and summarises evidence you provide; it does not tell you what your legal rights are or what action to take.

How long are source documents kept?

Source documents are deleted 24 hours after processing is complete.

What does verification prove?

Verification proves that the delivered PDF is cryptographically linked to the recorded evidence manifest, the processing metadata and the exact report file that was generated.

In other words, it confirms the report you have is the one that was actually produced and has not been altered since.
